Pre/Post Home Construction

Pre/Post-construction cleanup is a detailed, multi-stage cleaning done after building or renovation to remove construction dust, debris, and residue and make the space ready to live in or use. (includes 2 visits, 2 weeks apart)

Scope of Work

All Rooms

  • Cobwebs removed

  • Dust fans that can be reached on a 3 step ladder

  • Wet wipe fans that can be reached on a 3 step ladder

  • Dust blinds

  • Dust light fixtures (chandeliers excluded)

  • Dust all accessible furniture

  • Clean all glass

  • Clean/disinfect all light switches

  • Wash inside windows

  • Clean baseboards

  • Clean inside closets if empty (confirm with client)

  • Wet wipe all shelving

  • Remove any trash in cans/ replace liners

  • Vacuum upholstered furniture

  • Vacuum floors

  • Mop all hard surface floors

Kitchen

  • Load dishwasher (if applicable)

  • Appliance exteriors cleaned

  • Cabinet exteriors cleaned

  • Cabinet interiors vacuumed

  • Cabinet Interior wet wiped

  • Inside drawers vacuumed

  • Inside drawers wet wiped

  • Clean backsplash

  • Clean countertop

  • Polish all stainless steel

  • Clean/polish sink

  • Cabinet exteriors cleaned

  • Interior oven cleaned

Bedrooms

  • Vacuum floor

  • Vacuum under beds

  • Check for personal belongings left in drawers and closets

  • Dust furniture

  • Clean mirrors

  • Clean the inside of windows

  • Make sure *light bulbs are working and replace them if necessary

  • Check for wear and tear or stains on sheets and blankets

Bathrooms

  • Clean, scrub and sanitize showers

  • Clean, scrub and sanitize bathtubs vanity mirror, and splashbacks

  • Clean, scrub and sanitize vanity mirror and splashbacks

  • Clean, scrub and sanitize sinks

  • Clean mirrors

  • Clean and sanitize toilets

  • Polish chrome

  • Wash floors and tile walls

  • Empty wastebasket

  • Replenish hand soap and lotions.

  • Replenish *toilet paper

  • Wash and iron all linens, make sure there are 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 2 bath towels per guest and a *shower mat

Other areas

  • Be sure the washer and dryer are empty; clean out the lint trap

  • Check *light bulbs and change if necessary

  • Wipe off the patio set

  • Clean barbecue

  • Straighten outdoor area

  • Clear any debris from patios or balconies

  • Ensure that any rented facilities are left in excellent condition. (example: beach chairs, surf boards etc.)
